Forensics Testing the Truth for the Paper & Nonwoven Industries
Based in Appleton, Wisconsin, the IPS paper, fiber and nonwoven teams use a variety of fiber analysis test methods and microscopes to capture a product’s paper fiber or nonwoven material in intricate detail. With the globalization of the fiber and paper markets there is increasing call for Fiber Analysis as part of a "Due Care" compliance strategy with the US Lacey Act. Click here to learn more about this and Mixed Tropical Hardwoods (MTH) FAQs.
The IPS Test Experts take over with trained eyes and expertise to identify and interpret the fiber samples. IPS' microscopic fiber analysis is the best means of identifying and verifying raw or recycled material and even finished products.
Also, the Fiber Science laboratory is able to identify hardwood and softwood ratios through fiber analysis in combination with wood species analysis to determine species ID and percentages.
IPS' paper and nonwoven testing has proven itself again and again by solving problems in manufacturing, troubleshooting and forensics for the United States, North America and worldwide paper and nonwovens industries. IPS closely follows ISO, ASTM, INDA and TAPPI test method standards.
