History Behind a Leader in Physical Testing Labs

Integrated Paper Services, Inc., (IPS) was founded in 1989 by several research experts from the Institute of Paper Science and Technology when the institute moved from Appleton, Wisconsin to Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. IPS has become a leading wood-fiber testing lab,
providing detailed analysis for litigation, paper forensics, antique and document authentication and serving over 200 clients a year, including: major museums, U.S. Government agencies, and pulp and paper mills worldwide.
Pulp & Paper Testing: The Base of Expansion for Laboratory Testing Services
From its North American pulp and paper testing base, IPS has acquired more than 250 physical test instruments for paper and pulp testing to meet TAPPI method standards. IPS has gradually expanded its testing capabilities to nonwovens testing, health care testing and consumer products testing. On a given day, IPS' analytical lab work may include: absorbency testing products such as diapers (nappies), feminine care products, and incontinence products; health care products such as sterile wrap, face masks, booties, and surgical gowns; and pulp and paper products such as tissue paper, paperboard, printing and writing paper, and recycled paper testing.
